Shore Capital was founded in 1985 with a focus on trading and was one of the first two market makers on AIM in 1995. Now, Shore Capital is the third largest market maker on AIM by registrations and has gained a very dominant position in the market. The acquisition of Charterhouse Tilney led to the formation of Shore Capital Markets in 2003 and the subsequent 20 years has seen the division enjoy a strong reputation amongst the institutional investment community for its high quality research. 2019 saw the highly successful acquisition and integration of Stockdale Securities with the expanded division now representing c.90 retained corporate clients with a reputation as one of the leading advisors in the London listed market.
